EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES<\/span><\/p>

Jinnah Medical and Dental College encourages students to be involved in extracurricular activities to broaden and complete their education. These extracurricular activities provide an outlet for creativity and personal expression, helping graduates to be well rounded members of our society<\/p>

Debate Club<\/span><\/p>

Debate Competitions are held with students debating relevant current issues in both English and Urdu. Students also have opportunities to participate in Inter-University Debates<\/p>

ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION<\/span><\/p>

Art Competitions are held to encourage students with artistic skills. Cash prizes are awarded for the top three entries in each category. This includes both Academic and Non-Academic Art, sketching, charts, painting, photography, glass painting and models. Renowned artists are invited to judge the art works and to present awards<\/p>

PERFORMING ARTS CLUB<\/span><\/p>

Students write, direct, act and dance in their own dramas, skits and choreographies during the Annual Function Program.<\/p>

MUSIC CLUB<\/span><\/p>

Singing Classes are held weekly under the supervision of an Ustad. They culminate in an intra-college music competition.<\/p>

SPORTS<\/span><\/p>

JMDC excels in sports as well. A Sports Department coach schedules team events in the following sports:<\/p>

  • Cricket, Football, Basketball, Throwball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Billiard and Athletics<\/li>
  • Teams for both boys and girls in all disciplines<\/li>
  • JMDC participates in intercollegiate sports<\/li><\/ul>

    The final event of the year is the Athletics Competition which culminates with our Annual Awards Ceremony for Sports. There is an indoor Badminton court located in the students lounge along with Table Tennis and Billiard facilities. Cricket, football grounds and basketball courts are at the JMCH campus.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

    CARE<\/span><\/p>

    Care & Rehabilitation in Emergency (CARE) is a drug bank established by JMDC students which was registered as a recognized NGO on November 6, 2001. CARE is able to provide medications to non-affording patients through zakat collections and fund-raising activities. The best part is that CARE has tried to keep the FUN in the fund rising activities! Movies are shown in the auditorium on a regular basis to raise funds for CARE.<\/p>

    BLOOD DONATION DRIVE<\/span><\/p>

    JMDC invites a recognized blood bank to hold a blood drive among JMDC students twice a year. The dontated blood is properly screened and given free of charge to needy patients who apply to the blood bank.<\/p>

    STUDENT YEAR-BOOK \/ COLLEGE QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER<\/span><\/p>

    Students and Faculty are encouraged to submit original articles on topics current in medicine and dentistry as well as other matters of general interest for the College Quarterly Newsletter and Magazine.<\/p>

    SPRING FESTIVAL<\/span><\/p>

    Students hold an Annual Spring Festival every March putting up a variety of stalls offering everything from arts & crafts to face painting and food.<\/p>

    GRADUATION DINNER<\/span><\/p>

    A Graduation Dinner is held at the year-end for all graduating students. Faculty joins the soon to be graduates for a dinner. Students then take over with music and dance as they look back and celebrate their days at JMDC<\/p>
